Week Fifteen: Gingerbread Christmas Week

This is the week we started celebrating Christmas! We called this our "Gingerbread Christmas" week. We had quite the adventure!

Drawing on the chalkboard

Eastyn showing off his snowman.
Eastyn telling the story of the Gingerbread Man. "Run run, as fast as you can. You can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man!"
Sarah looking at some of our gingerbread man books, too.
After we read the story of the Gingerbread Man, we decided to make our own gingerbread men. We rolled out the dough and used cookie cutters to make them just right.
You can bet that we taste-tested the dough to make sure it was good.
Noah cutting out a gingerbread boy.
While we waited for them to bake, we decorated huge gingerbread people.

And when we checked our gingerbread men, THEY WERE GONE!!
We were so shocked!

And then we saw gingerbread on the wall and flour on the floor. They left clues!
Including gingerbread dough on the doorknob!
We called them and chased them. But those gingerbread men were fast.

We checked all around the house, the field where the cows are, and all the way to the street. Since we couldn't find them, we wrote a letter to our friends and family and asked them to let us know if they see our gingerbread men anywhere around the world. We'll use next week to track the gingerbread sightings and see if we can get them to come back!
