Another interesting and awesome week has come and gone here at Sixth Street Preschool. Here's what it looked like around here:
I asked the kids to draw me a bird mural. I got the most beautiful bird art (plus one amazing and hilarious moose on a mountaintop).
Can you tell we had a visitor today? This is Morgan! He's a Sixth Street Alumnus, having attended here for three years and now going to kindergarten in the afternoons. He's also Karsyn's older brother and we had fun with him here today!
Matt was home sick (doesn't he look it?) with an ear infection and since he couldn't get to the doctor's before preschool, he got to come play.
Karsyn and blocks.

Making bird nests to eat.

Making ducks out of paper plates.
Our first warm-ish day!! We got to play on the playground (and then Ms. Jana went inside and got under a blanket for an hour to warm up after everyone went home). We hope it gets warm enough to play outside for REALS soon!

Working at the table.
Painting with a feather. I'm not sure why I got SO many shots of this activity...but your kids are cute and the birds we painted looked neat.

Eating bird toast and doing scientific research to find out if white chicken eggs taste different than brown chicken eggs.

White eggs ready to scramble.
Brown eggs ready to scramble.
Cooked and ready to serve with chick toast.
We decided that both tasted awesome and hardly different from each other.

Eastyn said they BARELY tasted different.

Gluing noodles on an Nn.

Coloring birds in a nest being fed by their mamas.
It was Jake's birthday this week! Happy 5th birthday, Jake!

Making bird feeders out of ice cream cones, frosting, and bird seed (don't bother recommending peanut butter--we don't use it here, of course!)
Checking to make sure it's okay.
Looking good (and tasty!)

It was a great week and we loved listening to real birds outside our preschool! Have a great weekend, everyone.
