Migration and Hibernation Week

Well, it was officially a super week!
We had lots of fun with our new preschool friends, Ezra and Ty.

Ms. Nikki made it extra fun and I'm so glad she's here.
Also, she was able to help me take more pictures so let's get to 'em:

Tuesday we made cupcaves to start off Hibernation & Migration Week.
We mixed chocolate cake batter and poured it into cupcake holders
Then we added bears to hibernate.
Good night, bears! See you in the spring.

Olivia is Ms. Nikki's helper.
The expression on her face is one that Rafe makes at me all the time...

Happy Birthday, Eastyn!
He turned four over Christmas Break so we all got to blow a candle and sing.

How old are you, Eastyn?
Then he karate-chopped his candle.
Just kidding.
Make a wish...
Candle out!
Everyone watching Eastyn open his present.
For Mm Week, we got to march with musical instruments around our giant M.
Reading books
He told me he was going to wear this "forever"...and then it got itchy about 6 minutes after this picture was snapped.
Wednesday we had snail sandwiches (jam on the left, peanut butter on the right).
Ezra and Ty together.

Making a cave for our bears.

The boys kept pretending to hide their bears from me and laugh when they tricked me. Ezra thought he was SO funny...and he was :)
The song I'm singing goes something like this:
Grizzly Bear, Grizzly Bear, sleeping in his cave (see the sleeping bear?)
Please be quiet, VERY quiet....

If you shake him, you will wake him...

HE WILL GROWL AT YOU!!!

Berries, bugs, and bears. Mmmmm! We're getting ready to hibernate so we had to eat a LOT (me and Ms. Nikki took this advice very seriously...now we just need to sleep for 4 months and work off this belly....)

Ezra liked the red berries best.

Ms. Nikki played the Grizzly Bear game with EVERYONE as the bear...let's see what happened:

sleeping bears...

waking....
attacking....

GROWLING!!!!

Making animals to go in our mittens. Just like the book "The Mitten".

We can't wait for Snow and Ice Week!

That looks like a very fun week, but honestly I feared for Nikki's safety-hope you have good work insurance.

No preschool teachers were harmed in the waking of any bears.

It's my amazing photography skills that make it look precarious.

Also, I am insured (but the co-pay is coming out of Nikki's paycheck...)
